The story behind

Lynnette Edmonds Consulting

Lynnette Edmonds

Meet Lynnette

Lynnette established Lynnette Edmonds Consulting in 2013 following a decade in the recruitment industry and, before that, 12 years as a public relations consultant.

Lynnette Edmonds Consulting has evolved from an agency dedicated to helping people progress and evolve their careers, to establishing a talent management service for people with the purpose to be heard.

Lynnette is unlike any other talent management director with her extensive experience in the recruitment, HR and PR industries. Her whole career has been centred on human capital. She understands the technical aspects of creating ironclad opportunities for talent and how to convey the unique stories of extraordinary people — plus the strategies required to attract, retain and progress talent.

Previously, Lynnette co-founded PR People, a recruitment business that helped hundreds of people find new positions and counselled dozens of industry leaders as a trusted advisor. This included a large number of public relations agencies and high-profile corporations such as McDonald’s, Virgin, Sony, Samsung and Casella Wines.

She holds memberships at AHRI (Australian HR Institute), and is a previous PRIA NSW Counsellor. Over the years, she has regularly spoken at various industry events for businesses such as LinkedIn, Mumbrella Comms Con, NSW HR Leaders and PRIA, on topics such as the Great Resignation, Employee Engagement, Future PR leaders, recruitment practices/trends, mentoring, networking, and staff retention. She also runs training sessions for graduates ensuring they are ready for the workforce and personally mentors a range of people and loves helping them build and advance their careers.

In addition to running her own consulting business, Lynnette is the in-house Head of Talent and Engagement at Edelman Australia, responsible for all recruitment, succession planning, training, mentoring and talent management strategies.

Off-duty, Lynnette is still a talent manager of a different breed (mother of four) and can be best found outside adventuring on her stand-up paddleboard, spinning at the gym, or on one of the idyllic hikes surrounding Sydney.
